![]() October 2022 hosted the MICCA-Marching Band Competition at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium where 50 bands from across Massachusetts competed for the grand prize! Special thanks to MountainOne Bank for supporting this event! October also meant the funding of Teacher Mini-Grants and the distribution of $40,000.00 in mini-grant funds to Quincy Public Schools professional staff grant writers. Nothing says new school year like a new backpack!! Special thanks to Cradles to Crayons, NAGE, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Granite, Quincy Credit Union, and Mass Bay Credit Union for their generosity and support of the Annual Backpack and School Supply event! ![]() September 2022 began with the distribution of 3,300 backpacks, including school supplies, being delivered to our elementary schools. Special thanks to Baystate Financial/Michael Rothberg, Montilios Bakery, Quincy Credit Union, Equitable Financial Services, and the Quincy Education Association for supporting this event! ![]() New teachers learned firsthand about Quincy Public Schools and its expectations, which included Responsibilities of Professional Staff, Student Records Confidentiality, Security and Transportation, Curriculum, Assessment, and Professional Development, Student Support Services, Restorative Practices, English Learner Education, Technology Planning, Special Education, Health Services, Student Support Services and the Educator Evaluation Process and Procedures. August 2022 The school year began in late August when approximately 75 newly hired Quincy Public Schools teachers were welcomed at the annual two day New Teacher Orientation.
